Darshan Dave lynched for negative thinking…….

This ‘positive thinking formula’ in no time enslaved a huge population of scared people who fantasized magical transformation in life with a blind hysteria to discover another trick to achieve ‘success’ ,which in itself is the most madly disoriented word….. this time just saying ‘be positive’ was the shlok, ‘the secret’ was an ever known and repackaged foreign book/video/ business that enticed us more so it became a revolution and I became the only person who was left ‘negative’ ……

In my day to day life it’s the same but if I give an example…… when I plan and shoot my own videos ,all I get to hear from people everywhere around is don’t think negative …..

We are shooting on a mountain , yes before the thought of a successful shot ,I do think of carrying a first aid box, number of the ambulance , umbrellas if it is rainy and where else can we go if we are unable to shoot that portion due to people or weather conditions, I always cast my heroines in advance but always have 2-3 other options because heroines do tend to get unwell often on the last day or something goes wrong in their family, yes I have developed a habit of keeping options in everything , that is why it took me years to learn and practice singing ,writing lyrics , composing , arrangement , programming , mixing, mastering, video direction, editing , colour correction , graphics because when anybody has a problem in any department I can say , work won’t stop …..else I could have managed to release 2-3 videos with extreme dependence 10 years back and that might have been the end of my positive thinking, Yes I always think WHAT IF …. people don’t report, location gets cancelled at the last moment , there is rain , someone opts out , my car breaks down , or there is no electricity at the location …..NOT BECAUSE I AM NEGATIVE which simply means I’m sceptical or unprepared about the plan but my so called negativity is to assure that in no condition would my work stop…and this is how it is , it never stops…. Is this negativity or positivity ?……I will shoot no matter what and this video will get over no matter who opts out, if I have a passion to do things that stereotypically require a set arrangement of several depts. and professionals , in my own way and with my own devised methods and equipments ,I am responsible for everything , if I hate “this is how things are done” sentence I know all those who are working with me even after showing all the positivity will stand gaping at my face if something goes wrong , waiting to say ‘sir films are not made like this’ …..so I take up those challenges again and again, my videos my not look that big or rich or outstanding now but I know I executed it the way people can’t even imagine….with resources people can’t even start in …..and then I am learning and improving with every video…..its enough , so it is really unwelcoming to get this gyan from everybody around who will not have an answer when things won’t work and I know I have taken a responsibility to be answerable , so plz let me not be ok with this baseless mindless concept of positive thinking……there will always be a difference in the thought process of people who watch / love film making and those who execute it….. there is always more going on behind the scenes.Someone has to take responsibility of that too…..

Positive thinking for everyone is like black magic….they believe in it because they think they know it but they don’t understand it enough……

Having fire extinguishers in a huge tower is not negative thinking , having ambulances and fire brigades in a city is not negative thinking , having life guards on sea shore is not negative thinking (it gave us Baywatch)…..having a stepney in the car is not negative thinking , having a medical officer in a football match is not negative thinking , having ropes during mountaineering and parachutes in helicopters is not negative thinking and service stations , hospitals , garages are not negative places…..it is all to assure that THE POSITIVE CONTINUES………

It is the most misunderstood and misinterpreted gyan,… you don’t walk on a rope just because you think positive, you walk when you know how to ….. so the one who is doing riyaaz of singing locked in a room for years thinks more positive than the one who steps on to the stage after a week of singing , you must have seen these amateur teens in reality shows pumping and shouting to themselves coommooon you can do it , be positive be positive ,….YOU DON’T HAVE TO THINK POSITIVE WHEN YOU ARE POSITIVE….. and there are always strong reasons behind positivity …. It is not ABRACADABRA…..

I prefer to avoid loans because yes I do think ‘what if’ I am not able to arrange money for my EMI’s , not because I have any plan to stop earning , only because if tomorrow I don’t like roles offered to me, I can still move on with my peaceful life…and I have arranged all basic things for myself without a single penny on me….no actor can otherwise stop working and set out making videos for his own pleasure before returning to work , I can spend money moderately because I earn, but I save money so that I can live moderately even when I can’t….

I think negative to assure positivity , ……you are just saying we will succeed because our plan will succeed and I try to go a step further and try to assure that we succeed even if things don’t workout the way we believed….. it does take time….but may be our definition of positivity is very different….. Or may be it is bhagya , may be whatever you have planned has been flawless and I have faced several challenges ….U are blessed , Im not may be…. ☺
So when I plan a video , I just ask myself you are starting it would you be able to complete it IF everything goes wrong and everybody and everything backs out , I start it only when I get a YES from within ….and to be able to reach this stage of YES it has taken me years…..I observed that people often used positive thinking as a blindfold to avoid looking at the negative to avoid any hassle of troubleshooting…..
Had I built Titanic I would have assured there are enough life boats and arrangements to save people thinking ,....indeed it is unsinkable, but what if it sinks ?
